European Cooperation Strategy with Resource-Rich Countries

The STRADE team analyses EU and non-EU countries’ engagements with raw materials-producing countries, with the aim to revitalise the EU’s mineral engagement strategy.

Recognising the importance of collaboration and cooperation, STRADE engages with international partners, particularly in resource-rich countries, to inform its own strategy by:

• Evaluating the raw-material based engagement between the EU and resource-rich countries;
• Evaluating the raw-material based approaches of non-EU countries with resource-rich countries; and
• Developing, through international stakeholder dialogues, a comprehensive approach towards resource-rich developing and advanced countries, in line with international best practices.
