University of Dundee – Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP)

The Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) of the University of Dundee is an internationally renowned and leading post-graduate school for interdisciplinary studies and research concerning law, policy and the governance of energy and natural resources, with a particular focus on oil and gas, and mining.

International initiatives and reform processes in these sectors -- professional training, capacity building and consultancy services -- also form part of the core work of the CEPMLP.

CEPMLP runs the only LL.M specifically focused on law, policy and the governance of mining and minerals. This was long-established more than twenty years ago. The approach to teaching and research is inter-disciplinary, and strongly grounded in international and comparative law.
